Hit the Books at CCJPL this Fall!
Autumn is the time of year for lots of things – from pumpkin spice and apple pie, to cooler weather and vibrant foliage – there’s certainly a lot to look forward to this season! As students also turn over a new leaf this Fall semester, I wanted to share a few resources to help out as you hit the books!
Did you know that CCJPL has Free Study Rooms?
The two enclosed study rooms in the Genealogy Department are ideal for individual test-taking and silent work – these can be reserved in advance by calling ahead. The seven glass-walled study rooms along the front facade of the building are first-come-first-served study spaces that anyone can use without making a reservation – just pick an open room and head in!

Are you designing a presentation and need to record some audio or video? What about having a Zoom Interview or recording your own podcast? We offer camera and microphone equipment that you can use for school, work, or personal projects in our Studio space! You can make a reservation for the Multimedia Studio on our website, or by giving us a call at 870-935-5133.

Prepping for a specific subject area or exam? Seeking an annotated classic or study guide? Check out our collection to see if we’ve got what you’re looking for – from the ACT, to the GED, and the LSAT to the AP Exams, you can find a wide range of test prep resources. CCJPL also partners with Beacon Tutoring to offer free ACT Practice Tests for teens throughout the school year – check our calendar to register for the next Practice Testing Date.
Maybe you’re doing independent research for an essay or thesis paper. Try searching the collection of databases available on our website! World Book Complete has resources broken down by grade level (Pre-K – Adult), while Proquest Central allows students to search 30 databases simultaneously for scholarly articles, research, media and more!
